The Holy Gospel According to St. John

posted Sep 8, 2010, 9:08 AM by Unknown user
Beginning Sunday, September 12, 2010, the congregation (and friends) are invited to read the Gospel of John together, with weekly opportunities for discussion. Each Sunday, a reading schedule with thought-provoking discussion questions will be distributed. We'll read less than a chapter a day. Sunday at 10:30 a.m., we'll gather to compare notes and hear a little more from pastor. The Gospel of John faithfully recounts the life, death, resurrection, and teachings of Jesus. It does not do this as sterile "ancient history," but connects these salvation facts to the life of believers in the Church today, who live by faith, through the Word and Sacraments and in congregations and communities. The community is invited to participate, and additional discussion times can be arranged during the week. The study is planned to last about eight weeks. Contact pastor for more information.
